Chief justice to meet commissioners, DCs on Monday

Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed will meet with divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners during a courtesy call on Monday.

The meeting will be held in the Supreme Court Auditorium in the afternoon, according to a statement from the Supreme Court’s Appellate Division.

The statement said that the meeting will be from 5:45 pm to 6:45 pm and the chief justice will provide guidance to these administrative officials at the event, reports bdnews24.com.

The three-day DC conference was inaugurated by Muhammad Yunus, chief advisor to the interim government, at the Shapla Hall of the Chief Advisor's Office on Sunday.

This year's conference will have 30 'general' sessions and four 'special' sessions.

Earlier, the cabinet secretary said, "The four special sessions include the opening ceremony, the meeting with the chief justice, open talks with the chief advisor and a meeting of the Bangladesh Administrative Service Association."

"The main event will be held at the Shapla Hall of the Chief Advisor's Office. The Administrative Service Association meeting will be held at the Bangladesh China Friendship International Conference Center. The meeting with the chief justice will be held at the Supreme Court."
