In a show of continued bilateral cooperation, the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh has donated anti-dengue supplies to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), aimed at supporting Bangladesh's ongoing efforts to combat the spread of dengue fever.
The handover ceremony took place on Thursday, where Dr. Liu Yuyin, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka, officially presented the medical supplies to Bangladeshi health authorities.
The event was attended by Professor Dr Md Sayedur Rahman, special assistant to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Prof Dr Md Abu Jafor, director general of DGHS.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Liu reaffirmed the strong ties between the two nations, calling China and Bangladesh "good neighbours, good friends, and good partners."
