Chinese artistes along with Bangladeshi performers have enthralled audience with their exquisite entertainment at a spring festival gala in the city to welcome Spring, the start of Chinese New Year.
The 2024 "Voice of Spring. Golden Dream" Cross- border Spring Festival Evening Gala was held at Bangladesh Shilpala Academy in the city on Wednesday evening through musical, dance, and acrobatic performance.
With the slogan, China-Bangladesh friendship last long, a magic show also electrified the audience.
Echoes of instrumental music and resonating sounds of birds, animals and nature also gave the guests a feeling of living in nature.
Organised by Chinese Embassy and information office and foreign affairs offices of the Yunnan province, the event was attended by Social Welfare Minister Dr Dipu Moni as the chief guest.
Chinese Embassy officials and Yunnun province government officials including deputy minister also enjoyed the programme.
Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Liakat Ali Khan was present.
Participants at the event recalled the historical link between Bangladesh and China and expressed the belief that the relations between the two friendly nations will reach a new height.
