CID gets new chief

In the latest reshuffle in the police administration, one Additional Inspector General (IGP) of police and five Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) of police have been given new postings.

The Public Security Division under the Home Ministry issued separate notifications on Thursday in this regard, reports UNB.

According to the notifications, Additional IGP of the Police Headquarters (PHQ) Mohammad Shafiqul Islam has been made chief of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) while DIG (River Police) Sheikh Mohammad Maruf Hasan made Police Staff College Rector (Current Charge) as the Additional IGP.

DIG (Dhaka Range) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun has been posted at the PHQ as Additional IGP (Current Charge) and DIG of PHQ Barrister Mahbubur Rahman to Highway Police as Additional IGP (Current Charge).

DIG of Special Branch (SB) Md Toufiq Mahbub Chowdhury has been posted at the PHQ as DIG and DIG of PHQ Habibur Rahman made DIG (Dhaka Range).
