Clashes erupt in Uttara: Police use tear gas, sound grenades to disperse protesters

Clashes erupted between protesting students, police, and Awami League activists in Dhaka's Uttara on Friday afternoon.
Police fired sound grenades and tear gas shells to disperse the protesters.
The incident occurred around 4:15 pm in front of Milestone College in Sector 11.
The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement had called for a nationwide mass rally on Thursday night, leading students to gather in front of Milestone College.
Meanwhile, police and Awami League supporters assembled near Zamzam Tower.
At around 4:15 pm, Awami League supporters chased the students, who retaliated and counter-chased.
Police then intervened, chasing the students and firing sound grenades and tear gas shells, causing them to scatter.
Awami League supporters and police took positions near Zamzam Tower, while students dispersed into various streets in the sector.
