Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has declared the three-storey Shirin Mansion, which partially collapsed due to an explosion in the city's Science Lab area on Sunday, as risky building.
A regional committee of the DSCC on identifying risky buildings declared Shirin Mansion as risky and put a banner on the building, citing 'risky building: public entrance is completely prohibited', reports BSS citing a press release.
The regional committee led by DSCC Regional Executive Officer Merina Naznin submitted a report in this regard to the Technical Committee of the city corporation, it added.
The Technical Committee headed by DSCC Chief Engineer will take further decision regarding the building.
At least three people died and dozens were injured as Shirin Mansion partially collapsed due to an explosion triggering a fire.
