Cop’s hanging body found inside police barrack in Mymensingh

A hanging body of a policeman was recovered from the Bhaluka model police station barrack in Myemensingh on Wednesday, police said.

Sub-Inspector Humayun Kabir, 40, was posted at the Bhaluka Model Police Station and hailed from Madhupur upazila of Tangail.

Mymensingh Range Additional Deputy Inspector General of police Abida Sultana and district Superintendent of Police Masum Ahmad Bhuiyan visited the spot, reports UNB.

DIG Abida Sultana said the body hanging from the ceiling fan inside his room was recovered at noon.

The body was sent to the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The reason behind the death will be revealed after the autopsy, the DIG added.

Preliminary it was known that he had been suffering from illness for a long time. He joined the workplace recently after enjoying a 15-day leave.
