At least 12 people were injured as a clash erupted between two groups of transport workers at Umednagar in Habiganj over occupying a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Tuesday.
Police and locals said there had been a longstanding dispute between the auto-rickshaw workers of Baniachang and Sadar upazilas over taking control of the stand.
Following the dispute, they locked into a clash around noon when they attacked each other with local weapons and bamboo sticks.
The clash left 12 people from the both groups injured, said Yasinul Haque, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, reports UNB.
Later when police was informed, they rushed in and brought the situation under control, said Yasinul.
