18 crude bombs recovered in Satkhira

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered 18 crude bombs in an abandoned condition from a field along a bypass road at Kalikapur village in Satkhira’s Kaliganj upazila on Monday.

Tipped off, a team of RAB-6 conducted a drive in the area and seized the bombs, kept in a plastic bag, on Monday night, said a press release of RAB-6 issued on Tuesday.

However, a bomb disposal team of RAB defused the bombs on Monday.

RAB will investigate the matter, it said.
