49 Chhatra Dal leaders, activists killed during anti-discrimination protests

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student body of BNP, has said its 49 leaders and activists were killed during a recent anti-discrimination student movement, which toppled the Awami League-led government, over the reformation of the quota system.

JCD President Rakibul Islam Rakib revealed the information at a press conference at BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan area in Dhaka on Wednesday. He also gave the list of the 49 deceased leaders and activists.

Rakibul Islam Rakib also informed about their scheduled mourning rally to remember the martyrs of the anti-discrimination student movement.
