Bijoy Express train operation begins on Jamalpur-Chattogram route

Responding to the people's demand, Railway authorities have begun the operation of the Bijoy Express train on the Jamalpur-Chattogram route.

Earlier, the train used to ply from Mymensingh to Chattogram.

Jamalpur’s Station Master Md Asad Uz Zaman said the train will arrive at Jamalpur Railway Station at 6:10 pm from Chattogram and leave Jamalpur Station for Chattogram at 8:10 pm every day except on Tuesday, reports BSS.

He said 227 seats were allotted for the passengers of Jamalpur.

On the maiden trip, Bijoy Express reached the Jamalpur Railway station around 8 pm on Friday. Local political leaders and a large number of people welcomed the train by handing over flower to the passengers at the station.
