A spectacular house has been made with abandoned plastic bottles at Khanpara village in Sundarganj Upazila of the northern district, drawing the attention of local people.

Abdul Hakim, an auto-rickshaw driver, has made the three-room house with the support from his wife Anjuara Begum.

At the primary stage of making the house with bottles, Hakim faced widespread criticism, but won high praise from the critics for making a spectacular house.

For the past one month, he has been building his house with abandoned plastic bottles. For a long time, he collected plastic bottles from different places to make it.

The neighbours called Hakim crazy. He is implementing his thoughts of making a house with plastic bottles with the support from his wife. The neighbours are now praising the beauty of the bottle house.

The house construction work is underway in this remote village. He has responded by building such an exceptional house. Many are scared to take a look at the house under construction. On the ground, it is seen that the abandoned plastic bottles are scattered around the house. Some of the workers are filling the bottles again with sand.

The sandy bottle is then used to make the walls of the house. These walls are being constructed with cement knitting in rows of plastic bottles instead of bricks. The locals named it a bottle house.

Many people say that the house of Hakim is proud of many in the area. They did not know that such a building could be built with bottles. When the whole house is finished, many people think it will be interested in seeing its beauty. Locals said that Abdul Hakim used to collect abandoned bottles from different places and filled them into the auto.

At first there is a lot of laughter about these, but now the house is really being built. They claim that there is no other house in the district made with such bottles. People come from different areas to take a look at the visual house.

Abdul Hakim said, "My long-term desire is to do something. I saw the bottle house on YouTube. So I collect different bottles of abandoned shops from different broken shops. Then I started working with cement and sand. At first many used to call me crazy."

Mason Badsha Mia said, "I watch YouTube and make my own home with bottles in Lalmonirhat. Here I called for a bottle house."

Sundarganj Upazila LGED Engineer Siddiqur Rahman said, "We have heard people in the face of our upazila with an abandoned bottle of this upazila." "However, I have not yet visited it on the ground. I can visit how sustainable and environmentally friendly it will be."
