A bus accident has left at least 7 people dead and 15 others injured, some of them critically, in Chandina Upazila in Comilla district.
Police and fireservice men said the accident occurred on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Nooritala at 11:40am on Sunday.
Locals said the driver of the bus lost control over the vehicle and fell in a roadside ditch after skidding, killing 7 people and injuring 15.
Police, locals and firefighters rescued the injured and rushed them todifferent hospitals in Chandina and Comilla.
The bus was lifted out of the ditch around 12:50pm.
