A college student was killed when a human hauler rammed into a motorbike at Phultala Bazar in Dohar upazila of Keraniganj on Sunday.
The teenager was identified as Shaon Ahmed, 19, a 1st year student of Padma College and son of Mainuddin of the area, UNB reports.
Quoting local people, police said the accident took place at around 11:00am when a soil-laden human hauler rammed the motorbike Shaon was on, leaving him dead on the spot, said Sazzad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Dohar Police Station.
Angered by the incident, the students of the college staged demonstrations in the area and put up barricade on Phultala Bazar road, halting traffic movement for about half an hour.
