A cyclist was killed after a speedy car hit him on Magura-Jhenaidah road at Ichhakhada in sadar upazila on Sunday evening.
The deceased was identified as Somsher Ali Molla, 55, of Ichhakhada village in the upazila, reports a news agency.
Elius Hossain, officer-in-charge of Magura Sadar Police Station, said a car hit Somsher when he was returning home from the district town in the afternoon leaving him dead on the spot.
A case has been filed in this connection, said the OC adding that the car fled the spot immediately after the incident.
