A father and son have been killed in a hit-and-run accident in Bogura on their way to Eid prayers.
The accident occurred in the Noymile area of Shajahanpur Upazila on Saturday morning.
The dead were identified as Chan Mia and his four-year-old son Abdullah, according to Azizul Islam, chief of Sherpur Highway Police, according to bdnews24.com.
The police official said that Chan Mia and Abdullah had left home in the morning for Eid prayers. They leapt over a divider on the Dhaka-Bogura Highway in the Noymile area. An unidentified vehicle rammed the two of them and fled, killing the two on the spot.
OC Azizul said that the bodies of both victims had been recovered and would be handed over to the family after legal formalities were completed.
