A teenage female worker of a readymade garment factory was killed when a bus hit her at Malibagh Chowdhurypara in Dhaka city on Tuesday.
The young woman was identified as Mim Akhter, 14.
Sub-inspector Faruk of Hatirjheel Police Station said the accident took place at around 2:00pm when a bus of 'Suprabhat Paribahan' hit Mim while she was crossing the road near Abul Hotel, leaving her dead on the spot.
Police seized the bus and arrested its driver, reports UNB.
Angered over the incident, local people vandalised the bus.
