Five members of a family sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion in the Joydebpur area of Gazipur on Sunday night.
The victims are Parveen, 35, Saima, 30, Taslima, 30, Tanjila, 10, and one-year-old Ayan.
The incident occurred around 10:45 pm, said Dr. Shaon Bin Rahman, resident surgeon of the National Burn Unit, as per a UNB report.
The injured are now receiving treatment at the emergency department of the hospital, he added.
They are all in critical condition.
