'Journalists’ criticism imperative for development'

Journalists' criticism and contribution both are imperative for the development of the country.

Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder made the comment in a programme at Naogaon Press Club on Tuesday.

The minister said, "Media criticism and appraisal both help the government to rectify the previous mistakes."

Naogaon Deputy Commissioner Md Mijanur Rahman, Superintendent of Police SP Md Iqbal Hossain and press club president Md Nobir Uddin were present, among others.

Food Minister said, the government has zero tolerance to any kind of corruption. Journalists should write authentic news against corrupted personalities, reports UNB.
