Launch services on the Daulatdia–Paturia river route resumed after being suspended for nearly 46 hours due to rough weather.
Operations restarted around 6:45 am on Saturday, according to Mohammad Shimul, traffic supervisor at the BIWTA Daulatdia launch terminal, reports bdnews24.com.
The route was closed on Thursday morning to avoid accidents after adverse weather conditions, triggered by a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal, turned the Padma River turbulent from Wednesday night.
As the weather improved, launch services were cleared to resume on Saturday morning, said Shimul.
