A fisherman was killed after being hit by a thunderbolt at Dolor haor in Dharmapasha upazila in Sunamganj on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Selim Mia, 28, son of late Abdul Aziz of Paikurati village under Paikurati union in the upazila.
A thunderbolt stroke Selim in the morning when he went out for fishing at the haor, leaving him severely injured, said Ferdousur Rahman, Chairman of Paikurati Union Parishad, reports UNB.
Later, he succumbed to his injuries at Dhamapasa Upazila Health Complex, he added.
