A man was killed in a road accident in Chapta area under Kashiani upazila of the district early on Monday.
The deceased was Mamun Mollah, 35, son of Ashraf Mollah, a resident of Tilchhara village under Orakandi union of the upazila, as per a BSS report.
The accident took place on the Dhaka-Khulna highway when a private car hit a goods-laden rickshaw van from behind, leaving van puller Mamun Mullah injured, said Bhatiapara Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Maksudur Rahman Murad.
Primarily, Injured Mamun was taken to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex. Later, he died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
