A woman and her minor son died when a head-on collision between a tractor and CNG-run auto-rickshaw occurred at Arjuna in Barlekha upazila on Friday night.
The accident took place around 9:30pm as the tractor rammed into the auto-rickshaw, leaving the auto-rickshaw passenger Kalpona Begum, 30, a resident of Chandarpur village, and her five-year-old son Mahfuzur Rahman critically injured, said UNB quoting Shahidur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Barlekha Police Station.
Later, the injured were whisked off to Beanibazar Health Complex where doctors declared the duo dead.
