Police arrest ‘JMB members’ in Khulna

Police arrested two suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Gollamari area in the city on early Saturday.

The arrestees are Nur Mohammad Anik, 24, and Md Mozahidul Islam Rafi, 23.

Both claimed to be students of Khulna University during primary interrogation, said Khulna Metropolitan Police(KMP) Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Moniruzzaman Mithu, reports UNB.

Tipped off, a special team of KMP arrested the duo from the ground floor of the four-storied ‘Hasnahena’ building.

Huge quantity of bomb-making materials were recovered from their possession, the ADC added.
