Police in a raid recovered a Bishnu statue from a house at Raza Birat village of Gobindaganj upazila on Thursday.
Acting on a tip off, a team of police conducted a drive at the house and seized the statue kept in a secret place.
The statue weighing 25-kg is being tested whether it is touchstone or not, said officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj Police Station Majibur Rahman.
He said police recently recovered a total of three statues from Gobindaganj, reports BSS.
In April last, one Bishnu statue was recovered from a pond while another from a paddy field.
