Private car collision claims four lives in Rupganj

A head-on collision between two private cars claimed the lives of four people and left one injured in Narayanganj’s Rupganj area early on Tuesday morning.

According to Md Shahin Jahan, sub-inspector (SI) of Rupganj police station, a collision occurred between two private cars in the Bhuiya Bari Bridge area of the Purbachal Expressway. The injured were rescued and immediately taken to Kurmitola Hospital by the locals. Later, the doctor declared three of them dead, and two severely injured individuals were sent to the Dhaka Medical Hospital for better treatment, according to a local news report.

Later, Mr Bachchu Mia, in charge of the police camp at Dhaka Medical College Hospital informs that two seriously injured individuals have been brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital from Kurmitola General Hospital. Doctors declared one of them dead after a medical examination, while the other was undergoing treatment in the emergency department. The condition of the latter is also critical.
