RAB arrests one with firearms, ammo in C’nawabganj

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 arrested an alleged arms trader with a pistol, a magazine and five bullets from Tartipur Cattle market area under Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district on Saturday afternoon.

The arrested person was identified as Md Sujon Ali, 19, son of Sohobul Alam of Durlavpur Dobhagi village of the upazila.

Acting on a tip off, an operation team of the elite force conducted a raid in the area at about 4.30 pm and arrested Sujon with the firearms and ammunition, a RAB official said.

Later, the arrestee was handed over to Shibganj thana police after filling a case, reports BSS.
