Two motorcyclists were killed as the rider lost control over the wheels while trying to avoid a head-on collision with a truck at Dhobpur in Shibganj upazila on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Mukul Reza, 36, son of Krishnachandrapur village in Shibganj upazila, and Bahadur, son of Montaj Ali of Trimohoni village in the same upazila, reports UNB.
Sub-inspector Jewel of Shibganj Police Station said the accident took place as the biker skidded off the road when trying to provide side to a speedy truck on Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid Highway at Dhobpur leaving both of them dead on the spot.
Police recovered the bodies and sent those to the local hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
