Abu Saeed, a student of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur, who was killed in Tuesday’s clash during protests over quota reform, was laid to eternal rest after a namaz-e-janaza (funeral prayer) at his ancestral village in Pirganj Upazila in Rangpur.
Hundreds of people participated in the funeral prayer held at Jafarpara Madrasa field in Babonpur village under Madankhali union in Pirganj,
Abu Saeed, 22, was a student of 12th batch of English Department at Rokeya University. He was also a key organiser of ongoing quota protests.
His body was taken to his village in the early hours of Wednesday.
