Schoolgirl dies falling off rooftop in Sirajganj

A schoolgirl died after falling off the rooftop of a building at Mujib Road in the district town on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Dola Karmakar, 15, daughter of Ripon Kumar Karmakar and class X student of Sabuj Kanon School and College.

Mohammad Daud, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said Dola slipped from the rooftop of a six-storey building at night while she was talking over cell-phone, UNB reported.

She was rushed to Sadar Hospital where doctors declared her dead.
