

A fourth-grader was found hanging dead in a cowshed in Sylhet's Zakiganj on Thursday evening.
The incident occurred on Thursday (November 27) in Amlashid village of Barthakuri Union.
Police recovered the body of Jhuma Akter, 10, daughter of day labourer Harun Mia, UNB reports.
According to local sources, Jhuma was found hanging in the family’s cowshed, and family members raised an alarm upon discovering her.
Police, led by Zakiganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zahirul Islam Munna, arrived at the scene around 8 pm, prepared a spot report, and recovered the body.
OC Zahirul Islam Munna said preliminary investigation suggests the child may have accidentally hanged herself while playing. The matter is under further investigation.
