An unidentified sexagenarian man was killed in a lynch-mob attack at Magur Ghanar Kathalia Bazar in Dumuria upazila of Khulna on Friday night.
Aminul Islam, officer-in-charge of Dumuria Police Station, said that locals caught the man suspecting him a Rohingya man and gave him a good thrashing, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he was rushed to Kapilmoni Hospital in Paikgachha upazila where he died, reports UNB.
Police detained two people-fish enclosure owner Mehedi Morol and grocery shop owner Madhusudon Datta-after the incident.
