Police detained two youths in Magura Sadar upazila for allegedly abducting and raping a girl with speech impairment.
The detainees are Shaon Sheikh, 25, and Tipu Sheikh, 30, as per a UNB report.
According to the case statement, the 16-year-old victim was walking on a road alone in Nal-Nagar village on Friday at noon.
The accused took her to a nearby jute field and raped her.
Later, her family members found her injured when she returned home, according to the case statement.
Later, the victim’s family filed a case against the duo with Sadar Police Station, said officer-in-charge Ayub Ali, adding that they were detained from the village on Monday.
The accused were later produced before a Magura court, which ordered their imprisonment.
