Three people have been killed and nine others injured as a microbus crashed into a road divider on the Dhaka-Rangpur Highway in Bogura’s Sherpur.
Sherpur Police Station chief (OC) Ibrahim Ali said the HiAce microbus was on its way from Dhaka to Rangpur for the Eid holidays with 14 people on board, including the driver.
Along the way, it crashed into the road divider in the Chunka area of Sherpur Upazila.
Rescue operations were conducted when the accident was reported.
The bodies of the dead have been sent to the Shaheed Ziaur Medical College Hospital morgue.
The injured have been admitted to the Sherpur Upazila Health Complex and Shaheed Ziaur Medical College Hospital for treatment.
The names and identities of the victims have yet to be confirmed.
