Three people have been killed and several others injured after a microbus crashed into a tree on the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar Highway in Lohagara.
The microbus veered out of control and rammed into the tree in the Jangalia area at around 9:00am on Tuesday, bdnews24.com reports.
Three bodies were recovered from the wreckage, said Firoz Khan, an official with Lohagara Fire Service.
Four injured passengers were sent to hospital, he said.
The names and identities of the victims have not yet been confirmed. However, all were passengers on the microbus.
The vehicle was travelling from Cox’s Bazar to Khagrachhari, Firoz added.
