A truck driver was killed and ten others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Rajshahi highway at Baneshwar in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi on Wednesday.
The dead driver was identified as Kutub Ali, 32, son of Omar Ali of Charghat upazila.
The accident took place at around 11:00am when the Natore-bound sand-laden truck hit a microbus after being dashed by a Rajshahi-bound bus of 'Desh Travels', leaving the truck driver killed on the spot and ten others injured, UNB reports.
The injured were taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital and the dead body will go through an autopsy at the hospital, said Shakil Uddin Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Puthia Police Station.
Police seized the truck and the microbus.
