Two accused in drugs case flee during court appearance only to be arrested hours later

Two accused in a drug case, who escaped from the Shariatpur District and Sessions Judge Court premises on Sunday, were arrested again three hours after they fled.

The arrestees were identified as Suruj Madbor and Dulal Sheikh. Both of them were wanted in a case filed with Padma Bridge South Police Station under Narcotics Control Act.

Police said Dulal and Suruj were produced before the Shariatpur District and Session Judge court on Sunday.

However, they flee from the police custody while being taken to the jail from the court around 1 pm.

Later, a team of DB police along with Palong Model Police Station arrested them from Jajira upazila of the district, three hours after the incident.

Efforts are on to file a case against them with Palong Model Police Station in relation to the fleeing attempt.
