A biker and his pillion rider were dead after being hit by a truck on Akhtaruzzaman Flyover in Chattogram's Khulshi on Monday night.
The deceased were identified as motorcycle rider Al Imran Efti, 23, son of Yunus Molla of Darogar Hat area, and his friend Nahida Sultana, 21, daughter of Russel Chowdhury of Chakaria upazila of Cox's Bazar district.
Both were students of Chattogram Government City College, according to UNB.
The accident occurred around 10:30 pm when the truck hit the motorcycle on the flyover, leaving the duo critically injured, said Nurul Alam Ashek, in-charge of Chattogram Medical College Hospital police outpost.
They were rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where doctors declared them dead on arrival, he added.
