A two-year old boy drowned in a water body in Haldia union of Lauhajang upazila of Munshiganj on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Ibrahim Matabbar, 02, son of Md Shaheen Matabbar of Satgharia village in the upazila, reports UNB.
The victim drowned in the water near their house while he was playing beside it, said the victim's aunt Rashi Begum.
Later, the family members found the floating body.
They rushed the body to upazila health complex where the duty doctor declared him dead, she added.
