A woman apparently killed herself after allegedly poisoning her two daughters at Shikderpara in Rangunia upazila of Chattogram in the early hours of Tuesday over a family feud.
The deceased were identified as Doly Akhter, 28, wife of Nurnabi and her daughters Ela Akhter, 6 and Esrat Nur, 10.
Quoting family members, Imtiaz Uddin Bhuiyan, officer-in-charge of Rangunia Police Station, said that Doly poisoned her daughters and then took it herself around 12:30am.
Other members of the family took the trio to Rangunia Upazila Health Complex, UNB reported.
They were later shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital as their condition deteriorated. Doctors pronounced them dead around 1:30am.
The OC said that they are investigating family members' claim.
