A pillion rider was killed after being hit by a speeding truck in Shibganj Upazila of Chapainawabganj on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Mabia Begum, 39, wife of Saifuddin, resident of Kornakhali Mirzapur village of the upazila.
Sub-Inspector Faruk Khan of Shibganj Police Station said the accident took place around 9:00am on Chapainawabganj-Sonamansjid Road in Kanshat, reports UNB.
"Mabia fell down and died on the spot after a Sonamasjid-bound truck hit the motorcycle," he said.
Police seized the truck.
