A couple allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves from a ceiling fan at their residence in the Dubaliapara area in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh district on Wednesday night.
The deceased were identified as Mafizur Rahman Sagar, (22), son of Abdur Rashid of Ghagragachi area of Dinajpur and his wife Rehena Akhter Nupur, (20), daughter of Dukhu Mia of Madan upazila of Netrokona.
The couple was the workers of a local garment factory. They reportedly committed suicide following a family feud, as per media reports.
Bhaluka Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Humayun Kabir confirmed this information. He said police recovered the bodies and sent them to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for autopsies.
