Court orders probe into United Hospital's role over death of Gulf Air Pilot

A Dhaka court has directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police to probe into an allegation that the United Hospital authorities conducted the urine test of Gulf Air's deceased pilot Mohannad Yousef Hassan Al Hindi half an hour after his death.

Judge of the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court-8 passed the order on Wednesday after hearing a case filed in this regard.

Tala Elhendy Josephano, sister of the deceased pilot, on Wednesday filed the complaint petition at the Court of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Dhaka, asking for the arrest of Prof Dr Mohammad Omar Farouk and those involved with this 'willful negligence', said her lawyer M Sabbir Ahmed.
