The Cox’s Bazar district police have introduced an ‘Online Bus Terminal’ service as part of their initiative of modern bus management with an aim to reduce traffic congestion and public sufferings.
Cox's Bazar Police Superintendent Md Rahmat Ullah inaugurated the service at a function at the Sugandha point of the beach town on Friday evening.
Passengers can access the platform from the website of the service (www.obtcoxsbazar.com) to collect tickets from any part of the country.
Cox’s Bazar’s Additional Superintendent of Police Md Jashim Uddin Chowdhury presided over the inaugural function.
Transport worker leader Khorshed Alam Shamim, Green Line transport service’s in-charge Sultan Ahmed, transport service association’s general secretary Shahidul Alam and Cox’s Bazar Tour Operators’ Association founder Hasibul Islam Badal also addressed the event.
