Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) will seriously consider the proposal put forth by the visiting Members of Parliament (MPs) to adopt a resolution on the Rohingya issue.
Chairperson of the CPA and Speaker of Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury said this on Sunday at a briefing before a CPA panel in Dhaka, reports UNB.
She said the MPs appealed to adopt a resolution at all the respective member parliaments to denounce the atrocities committed against the Rohingyas, leading to their mass exodus from Myanmar to Bangladesh.
