Chief of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP Md Harun-ur-Rashid on Saturday said that they have already identified those involved with the killing of Jubo League activist Oliullah Rubel in the city's Gulbagh area early Friday, reports UNB.
"Police obtained names of all the accused along with their mobile phone numbers. Now only arrest is left, they will be arrested any time," he said.
The DB chief said this while talking to journalists after a press conference at DMP media centre in the city on Saturday.
He said those who took part in the killing mission came in the Gulbagh area by motorbikes and kept an eye on Rubel's movement. Some hacked Rubel to death and others guarded the area.
The DB head hoped that they would be able to arrest those involved with the killing within a short time.
