A court in Dhaka has sentenced absconding murder case convict and gold trader Rabiul Islam alias Arav Khan to 10 years in jail in a case filed over the illegal possession of firearms.
According to a bdnews24.com report, Dhaka Metropolitan Special Tribunal Judge Murshid Ahmed delivered the verdict on Tuesday.
The court also fined him Tk 10,000, and will add three months to his prison sentence if he fails to pay.
Rabiul Islam is also a fugitive in a case filed over the killing of police inspector Mamun Imran Khan in 2018.
