Assailants shoot cable trader dead in south Badda

A cable businessman was shot dead by miscreants in the capital's South Badda area on Wednesday night, said police.

The deceased was identified as Abdur Razzak, 30, owner of Razzak 'Max Cable' of Middle Badda in the Dhaka.

According to the victim’s father Fazlur Rahman, after getting informed about a clash he went to Jagrani Club and found his son with bullet injuries sitting on a chair around 9:00 pm. Later, with the help of some locals Razzak was rushed to DMCH.

Bachchu Mia, sub-inspector of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp, said bullet riddled victim was brought to the hospital and was soon declared dead at around 10:15 pm by the doctors on duty, reports UNB.

Following this incident, police rushed in to inspect the matter. Details would be disclosed later, said Wazed Ali, officer-in-charge of Badda Police Station.
