Police recovered a body of a retired schoolteacher from a water body at Putia village in Kumarkhali upazila on Wednesday morning.
Abdul Jabbar, 70, former teacher of JN High School of Kumarkhali and son of late Ramjan Ali of the village, went missing on Saturday after he went out from his home, said Abdul Khalek, officer-in-charge of Kumarkhali Police Station.
Locals found the floating body in a water body at Putia village and informed family members and police, as per UNB report.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Kushtia General Hospital morgue for autopsy, said the OC adding that family members, earlier, filed a general diary.
