Crude bomb hurled at Grameen Industrial Park in Gazipur

Miscreants hurled a crude bomb at the main gate of Grameen Industrial Park in Kaliakair upazila of Gazipur district early Monday.

Sirajul Islam, security supervisor of Grameen Industrial Park-2 in Khara Jora area, said unidentified attackers threw the crude bomb targeting the factory at dawn.

Flames from the blast partially burnt the lighting around the signboard, but staff managed to extinguish it quickly, he said

In a separate incident in Medi Ashulai area of Kaliakair, miscreants set fire to an excavator, burning most of the machine.

Officer-in-charge Abdul Mannan of Kaliakair Police Station said police visited both sites and legal action is underway.

Earlier, miscreants threw crude bombs at a Grameen Bank branch in Sreepur upazila of the district, damaging the signboard of the facility.
